Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in 1957 said “the independence of Ghana is meaningless unless it is linked to the total liberation of the African continent.”
67 years on, I would like to put it this way “the celebration of this year’s Ghana’s Independence day will be incomplete without us touching the lives of young girls in rural communities in Ghana who faces challenges during their monthly menstruation”.
Many young girls in rural communities in Ghana depend on unsafe and unhygienic ways to control their blood flow during their menstruation. This normally leads to other health challenges putting the lives of these girls at risk.
Let’s collectly contribute to alleviate the plights of these youger ones in our rural communities.
Kindly support the #VoltaPads, PadAGirl project, a project geared towards ending period poverty.
