The Regional Manager, Mr. Eric Asamoah, during the past week, undertook a conformity assessment activity to a company at Woadze, in the Volta Region, which manufactures reusable sanitary pads.
The company, Amenuveve SIV Organisation, is a registered non-profit organisation established in 2019, under the Companies Act 179 and incorporated in the United States.
The objective of the inspection was to evaluate the company to manufacture reusable sanitary pad, which conforms to the specification of the product standard. It was also aimed at verifying the manufacturer’s quality systems, production line, testing and inspection procedures, facilities and equipment used and to assess whether they conform to standard requirements towards certification.
Following the inspection, samples of the products were taken and sent to the Head Office for testing. GSA first certified the company’s product in 2023.
